Having goosebumps over this. After receiving emotional and psychological abuse for refusing to agree to ‘conversion education’ over a period of 44 days, she escaped but still died in the end, and in the hands of people who are supposed to be the one protecting her. The irony, may the soul of the young woman rest in peace..

I believe all human rights - including religious freedom - must be protected. Stumbled on this article while browsing. This is unbelievable thinking it happened in South Korea with all the kpop fans all over the world, I don't know how this thing was hidden and not gaining attention.

Even though rallies have been held in 23 cities in 15 countries, the Korean government continues to remain silent about this matter? Seriously? Are they protecting something?

how shameless of them to use the parents of the victim to kidnap and manipulate her!! I wonder what they must have told her parents that they would do such a horrible thing to her own daughter. this is a serious issue, everybody should be aware of that and step into action!

Wow, this is really insane...how could such atrocities exist in this day and age? I mean, there are plenty of other atrocities as well, and each should be addressed in its proper manner!
I'm hearing of this terminology, "coercive conversion" for the first time. And I hope this word can be erased from everybody's vocabulary. Let's raise this awareness and make it stop!!

I hope the Korean government is working on a solution. This is really a shame, a huge slap in the face on the star-reputation that South Korea has.

In a democratic country, I can't stand to see these things happening to fellow brothers and sisters worldwide. It breaks my heart. I saw the news on Facebook and on various media outlets, and I'm appalled, to say the least. I hope this issue resolves quickly.
